What's new — the drive

A new way to drive.

The biggest change isn't a number on a spec sheet — it's how the Pro 60V handles. An upgraded, software-integrated controller manages power from a standstill to the bottom of a hill.

01
Controlled descent on hills

Going down a grade, the controller holds the truck back and governs your speed — so you're not riding the brake the whole way down, loaded or empty.

02
Smoother acceleration

Power ramps in cleanly off the line instead of jumping. Creeping through a gate or easing up to a trailer is precise and predictable.

03
More power, softer when you want it

The full 1,200W is there when you ask for it — but the throttle stays gentle when you don't, for a lighter hand on finesse work and full muscle for the haul.

Built for more

The upgrades that matter.

01
More power on tap

A 1,200W motor on a 60V system pulls noticeably harder on hills and under load than the 48V All-Terrain.

02
Goes farther

About 18 miles on a single battery — roughly 33 with the dual-battery build — for bigger properties and longer days.

03
Ready for gear

Integrated 2-inch front receiver, a MOLLE panel for mounting accessories, USB-C and USB-A ports, and a tighter ~8 ft turning radius.

Pro 60V vs. All-Terrain

The step up, side by side.

The Pro 60V is built on the same proven frame as the All-Terrain — same footprint, same half-ton payload. What changes is everything around it: more power, a smarter controller, and fitment for gear out of the box.

Overview

The next StepRanger platform. The Pro 60V takes the frame proven on properties, ranches, and jobsites and adds real muscle: a 1,200W motor, a 60V battery system, and a software-integrated controller that changes how the truck drives. Same 1,000 lb workhorse — now with more power, more range, and a smoother, more controlled feel.

Color availability

All five colors are orderable today. Every color is currently in build — we are sold through on on-hand stock — so each one ships against the estimated window below. Ordering holds your place in that color's build.

What's new vs. the All-Terrain

Beyond the upgraded drive, the Pro 60V adds an integrated 2" front receiver hitch, a tighter ~8 ft turning radius, a MOLLE panel on the rear cargo divider for mounting gear, a pre-drilled rear step for the zero-turn mower attachment, USB-C and USB-A charging ports on the battery box, and a powder-coated finish offered in five colors.

MOLLE-compatible accessory panel

The rear cargo divider — the panel between the bed and the operator — is a laser-cut MOLLE field built to the PALS standard: 1" slots on 1.5" horizontal and 1" vertical spacing. That means it accepts off-the-shelf MOLLE and PALS accessories — pouches, tool rolls, bottle holders, straps — not just our own. To mount gear, weave the accessory's straps down through the panel and back through itself; it locks in with no tools. A StepRanger-branded MOLLE accessory bag is in development.

What carries over

It shares the All-Terrain's proven frame, wheel spec, and dimensions — the same 1,000 lb payload, fold-down sides for easy loading, variable-speed twist throttle, forward and reverse, and dual disc brakes. Front coil-spring suspension on a pivoting solid axle absorbs uneven ground at the front wheels; the rear axle is rigid.

Performance

Top speed of 15 mph and a 1,000 lb hauling capacity. Single-battery range is about 18 miles; the dual-battery upgrade roughly doubles it to about 33 miles.

Range is an engineering estimate — one rider, firm ground, 15 mph. Real range varies with load, terrain, and temperature: figure 13–23 miles single (23–43 dual) depending on conditions, and roughly half under a 500 lb load. Ground surface moves it the most.

Not included — the winch

Some photos on this page show a winch mounted to the front. The winch is not included with the truck.

It's sold separately as the StepRanger 60V Winch Kit — a 3,000 lb winch we built specifically for this truck. It runs natively on the Pro 60V's 60V system, so there's no step-down converter and no custom wiring, and it bolts straight onto the winch mounting plate already built into the frame below the front receiver hitch. No drilling, no fabrication.

Every Pro 60V ships with that mounting plate, so the truck is winch-ready whether or not you add one. The kit is expected to be available in September 2026. Call (707) 329-4442 and we'll let you know the moment it's ready.

Configure yours with a single or dual battery and stock or snow & mud tires. All StepRangers ship fully assembled and crated by LTL freight with liftgate service at delivery, from our fulfillment center at 833 Hwy 116 S, Sebastopol, CA 95472.

I live and work on a mountain made of gargantuan boulders

I live and work on a mountain made of gargantuan boulders, decomposing granite and wildfires.

This thing is very fit for purpose. It seems to be over-built for anywhere without uncompromising rocks and boulders. Brakes, power and suspension have been sublime. The front wheels have a coil suspension that works nicely. Standing on the rear step and holding the handlebars allows my natural equilibrium to perform. Getting to take a ride for a thousand feet, whilst it’s 95°, to get that tool I need has been awesome.

My 15 acres is seriously uneven. Vehicles would be impractical. A rollover of a UTV would be likely and uncomfortable (painful). This thing is something which I could jump from, to safety. A gas engine would be noisy and potentially incendiary, with undesirable maintenance.

I have an electrical wheelbarrow that works great for moving and dumping weight. I do need to walk and lift to balance it on its axle. The StepRanger allows me to have landscaping equipment with me and load it with brush, dirt, gravel and rocks. It climbs serious grades and has capable brakes.
I like that it seems like the designer/engineers knew what they wanted and it aligns with what I want.

I appreciate that the batteries are straightforward and can be replaced with non-bespoke units when end of life occurs.

I replaced the existing side panel cotter pins, that are strong, with cotter clips that are less strong but easy to remove. I clamped an umbrella for shade of my noggin. I utilized the wood shipping crate to make gravel sides for the side panels (it’d be cool if there were marks to cut down the crate for panel sides). The “headlight” is not super useful, as the light hits the ground about eight feet in front and aims from the turning handlebar that’s at the back of the rig. A headlamp solves this issue. I’ll probably mount some lights on the front.

I’ve named it “The Mule”. Customer service responses were lightning fast. I feel anything I break on this thing, because of me, I could cobble a fix.

We all love our new StepRanger

For years, I’ve hauled my garden tools around in a very large wagon. Then I saw the StepRanger and knew it was exactly what I needed. We’ve had our StepRanger about a month now and I can truly say it’s made life so much easier and more fun! My husband ordered it for me. It arrived within a few days in a very sturdy wood crate. Hubby and son found the delivery and unpacking quick and easy. My hubby, son and grandson have used it to haul 2 tons of pellets, the chain saw and tools for cutting wood and the split wood to our son’s truck. I’m loving it for carrying my tools around our 1 acre yard when I do yard work. Their customer service is great. I called and requested a new latch cover. John ordered it for me while we were talking on the phone. The 5 John ordered, along with a StepRanger keychain arrived within a few days. We would all highly recommend this to anyone interested in buying one.

Works great for my 1-acre residential property

Works great for my 1-acre residential property. For gardening, I can bring tools, plants and soil right to the site. For maintaining my RV, I can easily bring the equipment from the garage. Reduces the time I need to maintain all my stuff.

Stepranger Pro 60v

While I have only had the Stepranger Pro 60v for 2 weeks,it has been put to work on our 10 acre homestead. It is a perfect fit for the chores and jobs around. The power has surprised me, as it has more than handled the loads of wood and animal feed bags to the barn. It fits nicely into our small barn as well as on paths throughout the wooded areas of our homestead. We live on some very rocky terrain, so I was at a local tire shop getting intertubes in the heavy duty snow tires for added protection, and three people from town saw the Pro 60v and asked so many questions. They each loved it. The shop employees had never seen anything like it and also loved it after driving it around their shop area. I have already hauled loads of wood, the bountiful garden vegetables by the bushel baskets, various animal supplies & food, and bags of trash. I use it daily just to drive up the gravel road to the mailbox. In the 2 weeks I've had it, I only need to charge the batteries one time. And that was as simple as charging my cell phone. Awesome. The manuals for the machine are very clear to understand and get the Pro60v up and running. Thank you for that! We have steep trails and hills here, but no problems thus far climbing them, even while loaded with wood or landscaping rock. I watched all the online videos about the Steprangers, and I have discovered that they all portray accurately what this machine is like. This is actually a case of you get exactly what you see! Operating the machine is easy enough but it does require "practice" and use, to get proficient. Like everything else. My wife hasn't driven the Pro60v yet, but will be learning this week. We are both in our 70's and are living an active homestead life. The Stepranger Pro 60v is an absolute perfect fit for our needs here. We live in the Ozarks of southern Missouri. It has been driven on wet pastures and wet wooded trails, with the traction being perfect. We have used side by sides on our property, and loved them, but the repair and maintainance issues became such a problem we sold it. This Stepranger Pro 60v is so simple and efficient, thus far, it's a pleasure to use and get work done. I use this machine daily. Our rough terrain will be a test over the next year to it's reliability and hardiness, but thus far it has dominated every task we have used it for. Thanks to the team at Stepranger for producing a machine that you have actually developed and used in the field to be a practical and productive help to us.

My Step Ranger has been a great solution to the drought

My Step Ranger has been a great solution to the drought. I live in a senior community and we are planting trees in response to climate changes. With the ongoing drought, we needed some way to bring water in an all terrain setting. I can haul my 65 gallon tank with no problems.

Fantastic ride!

The step ranger pro seems to be a culmination of a lot of work John and Aaron have put in refining this machine. As an owner of lots of tools and equipment. I can honestly say there’s nothing on this machine I would change. Amazingly nice construction. It brings back the old days when there was “pride of ownership“

My Husband's text says it all: "I LOVE this thing!"

This is without a doubt the best thing we purchased for our small acreage since the power log-splitter! It is so incredibly well made and exactly what we needed. We added a wooden box for those occasions when what we're hauling comes in small pieces--and the nimble steering and just in-general fun of using it makes it a favorite for us to use to save our old legs! What a find!

I LOVE Roxy

I LOVE Roxy, my new Step Ranger (yes, I named her ;) It has saved me a world of hurt on my 70 year-old knees. The huge bed can hold the equivalent of at least two wheelbarrows full of yard waste. The swing down sides are easy to unhinge. Just a couple tweaks and this machine would be perfect: first, a tilting bed. Second, a wider steering radius (even though I know it can be tweaked), third, uh, there is no third. This machine is SO useful, it's already paid for itself in my book. I added a magnetic cup holder and ditty bag (for batteries, phone, trimmers, etc.) Customer service is great!

Its a work horse but so much fun too.

This was a 50th anniversary gift for my husband. He loves it. It saves him so many steps and pulling a work cart. He can get his work done easier and faster. He is having so much fun using it.

Great vehicle for our nursery!

After doing a lot of research online, I decided on the pro 60 volt version from step ranger. We have a perennials nursery in Portland, Oregon, and I wanted something that our staff can use to move plants, cuttings, weeds, gravel, and other materials around the property. It needed to be easy to use but big enough to be efficient.

We have had it for over 2 weeks now, and so far it has been great. Most of the staff is trained up on it and really enjoy using it, it is a fantastic alternative to a wheelbarrow. I used it recently to move gravel 5 gallon buckets from a stockpile and it was much easier than loading into a larger utility vehicle.

Highly recommended

We love our StepRanger!

We love our StepRanger! We’re renting goats this summer for buckthorn mitigation. The StepRanger has saved us so much time and energy as we set up paddocks with electric fencing, water troughs and minerals, then break the paddocks down to move them. Highly recommend!

StepRanger enters Canada strong

I have an off grid water-access property that has some challenging narrow walkways and hills to negotiate. I could not find anything that would be both powerful and narrow enough to handle the workload I had. I also had to get it to Canada and to a tricky part of British Columbia’s Sunshine Coast.

John answered my many questions and navigated through the shipping and customs process. It was an incredibly smooth transaction and the StepRanger has exceeded my expectations so far. I worked it with heavy loads and up inclines that I would not have thought it could handle. Super impressed and recommend highly (including the snow/mud tires that I will use year round).

John was highly supportive before, during and after the transaction.

So far so good

So far so good..I received my Step Ranger about a week ago and have been very pleased with the performance. As a beekeeper I am constantly moving equipment in and around my apairy yard. The Ranger is making this task much easier. I have a pretty steep hill in the yard and loaded down with a couple of boxes of heavy frames with honey the Ranger zipped right up the hill no problem. I plan to send out a video soon..
