Common questions
How much does a StepRanger cost?
The All-Terrain is $2,700 and the Pro 60V is $3,450. Shipping is a flat $250 per truck. Hawaii and other off-mainland addresses are quoted individually. A second battery set for longer range adds $250 on the All-Terrain and $312.50 on the Pro 60V. Financing is available through Affirm at checkout, with 12 months interest-free.
What is a StepRanger designed for?
StepRanger electric micro-trucks are designed for off-road hauling around a property: firewood, tools, gear and materials on farms, ranches, homesteads and large yards. Each one is a walk-behind and a ride-on in one machine: fold the rear step up to walk behind it, or fold it down to ride. They're designed for off-road use only, not public roads. The cargo bed isn't designed for passengers, so we don't recommend riding in it.
How much can it carry, and how far does it go on a charge?
Both the All-Terrain and the Pro 60V carry a 1,000 lb payload, and top speed is about 15 mph. Estimated range on the All-Terrain is 15–17 miles on a single battery set and about 30–34 miles with dual batteries. On the Pro 60V it's about 18 miles single and about 33 miles dual. Range is an estimate; load and terrain affect it.
What's the difference between the 48V All-Terrain and the 60V Pro?
The All-Terrain runs a 1,000W brushless motor on a 48V system, has a turning radius of about 11 feet, and comes in StepRanger Green. The Pro 60V steps up to a 1,200W, 60V motor-controlled drive with hill-hold and controlled descent, a tighter turning radius of about 8 feet, an integrated 2" front receiver, a MOLLE-compatible panel, USB-C and USB-A charging ports, and a powder-coat finish in five colors. Both are rear-wheel drive. We recommend the Pro 60V for hills, heavy hauling and tight spaces, and the All-Terrain as the lower-cost option for flatter ground.
What batteries does it use, and how do I charge it?
Every StepRanger runs on sealed lead-acid (AGM) batteries: no watering and no maintenance. The All-Terrain uses four 12V batteries for 48V; the Pro 60V uses five 12V batteries for 60V. The All-Terrain charges from any standard 110V outlet in about 5–6 hours, full overnight. A Pro 60V single battery set charges in about 8–10 hours from near empty. The charger ships with your order.
How does it ship, and is there assembly?
Your StepRanger ships by freight, fully assembled and crated. It comes off the truck on a liftgate, so no loading dock is needed, and the carrier places it at the curb or end of the driveway. We've shipped to all 50 states. Ship timing depends on the model and color; each product page shows current availability.
Can I pick one up or get local delivery?
Yes. Local pickup in Sebastopol, California or Missoula, Montana is free, by appointment. Local pickups and local deliveries arrive fully assembled, uncrated and ready to drive.
What does the warranty cover?
Every StepRanger has a 2-year warranty covering materials and workmanship, plus damage that affects performance or safety. Minor cosmetic marks from freight handling aren't defects. The warranty transfers to the next owner through 2 years from the original purchase date. We stock every component for our machines, and most support is resolved quickly by phone or video call.
