What it’s for

Built for the work

StepRanger Pro 60V in Loam with the cargo cage up on a grassy hilltop above Missoula

1,200W motor-controlled drive

Holds itself on a hill and controls your speed on the way down: hill-hold, and controlled descent with the speed switch in Low. It’s set at the factory and sealed. No app, no wifi, no updates, nothing to maintain.

Close-up of the StepRanger Rear Step Hitch grip tread and steel receiver plate

Ready to tow and mount

An integrated 2-inch front receiver takes a standard ball mount, and the rear step is pre-drilled for the StepRanger Rear Step Hitch, no drilling.

StepRanger Pro 60V in Loam, flatbed mode with rear step and MOLLE panel

Gear-ready, with power on board

A MOLLE-compatible panel takes off-the-shelf gear, and the battery box carries a USB-C and USB-A outlet. Powder-coat finish in five colors.

Towing and trailers

Moves trailers where you need them

Put a ball mount in the front receiver and you can face the trailer while you push it into a garage, a barn or a tight spot. The rear step takes a hitch for pulling.

A Pro 60V pushing an enclosed trailer across a lot with its front receiver

Push a trailer into place

  1. Drop a 2 in ball mount into the front receiver.
  2. Hitch up facing the trailer.
  3. Drive forward slowly. The truck pushes the trailer back into the spot.

We move 18 ft enclosed trailers around our California and Montana locations this way.

  • 1,000 lb+Trailers we’ve towed on flat ground
  • ~250 lbTongue weight we recommend
  • 2 inReceiver built into the front
  • 16 inGround to the bottom of the receiver opening

Tongue weight is the weight the trailer puts on the hitch, and it is what to watch when you tow. We recommend about 250 lb. If the tongue is heavier, move cargo back toward the trailer’s axles.

Front receiver

Built into the frame

The 2 in receiver sits under the front platform. Push trailers with it, and mount the winch kit on the plate just below.

Pull from the back

Bolts to the holes already in the rear step, no drilling. Takes a pin hitch or a ball mount.

    Shipping and hauling

    • Ships fully assembled and crated. The crate is 70.5 × 38 × 60.5 in.
    • To load it onto a trailer, use arched folding ramps, not ladder-rung ramps. The 4.5 in under the rear axle can catch on a steep straight ramp.

    1. Length × width: Step folded. With the step down it is 74.2 in long. The width is the bed, outside the rails; the latch handles on the rear panel are the widest point, at 34.4 in, so plan on 35 in of clearance.
    2. Ground clearance: 4.5 in under the rear axle and 5.8 in under the front axle. Those only matter for something that passes between the tires.
    3. Range, single: Single-battery range tested on flat, paved ground with a light load in the bed. Hills, grass and heavy loads shorten it.

    Questions about the Pro 60V

    What does it cost, delivered?

The All-Terrain is $2,700 and the Pro 60V is $3,450, plus a flat $250 for freight delivery anywhere in the lower 48 states. Pickup in Sebastopol, California, or Missoula, Montana, is free. Financing is available through Affirm at checkout, with 12 months interest-free.

    How does delivery work?

It ships fully assembled, in a crate, by freight. The local delivery depot contacts you ahead of delivery to schedule it, and the crate is set down at the curb or the end of your driveway. Each truck’s product page shows when it ships.

    More: Shipping & delivery

    How does it handle hills?

It climbs slopes up to 30 degrees, about a 58% grade, in Low gear. Hill-hold keeps it from rolling back when you stop on a slope, and with the speed switch in Low, controlled descent keeps your speed in check on the way down.

What can I mount on the front?

The built-in 2-inch front receiver takes a standard ball mount, and the 60V Winch Kit bolts to the plate below it, no drilling.

    Can it tow a trailer?

Yes. There’s no formal tow rating, but owners regularly tow trailers of 1,000 lb and more. We recommend keeping tongue weight around 250 lb. The rear step is pre-drilled for the StepRanger Rear Step Hitch.

    Which tires should I get?

Stock tires handle most yards, gravel and trails. For winter, mud, hills and loose ground, add the Snow & Mud wheel and tire set. Turf tires are for flat, sensitive lawns.

How far does it go on a charge?

It went 16 miles on one battery set in our test, on flat, paved ground with 165 lb in the bed. With two sets, it’s ~29 miles. Hills, grass and heavy loads shorten it. It charges overnight from any 110V outlet.
