Moves slowly or loses power

Most often it’s charge level or a gear or speed setting.

This is usually quick to sort out. If these steps don’t fix it, call or text us and we’ll get it resolved.

What to do

  1. Check the charge level on the handlebar display.
  2. For normal speed, check the brass gear lever is in High (toward the driver).
  3. Check the speed switch on the handlebars is set to H.
  4. With dual batteries, make sure both battery switches are on.
  5. Climbing a grade with a load, use Low gear. Low is the climbing gear, with the most torque.
  6. For traction on wet grass or mulch, lower tire pressure to about 15–20 PSI. Lower pressure grips better on loose ground.
  7. For the most traction, we recommend the Mud & Snow tires.

Still not working? If the charge and settings are right and it still stalls or bogs down, call or text us and we’ll get it resolved quickly. A moderate grade should be no problem, so we’ll work through it with you.
