All-Terrain, Pro 60V

Adjusting the steering limit bolts

An adjustable bolt at each front wheel sets steering range, and on a new truck it can loosen a little in transit.

This is usually quick to sort out. If these steps don’t fix it, call or text us and we’ll get it resolved.

What to do

  1. Find the limit bolts, one per side. On the All-Terrain they sit behind each front wheel, and the right-side bolt limits the right turn. On the Pro 60V they sit in front of the axle, and the sides are crossed: the bolt on your right limits the left turn.
  2. Loosen the locking nut on the bolt.
  3. Turn the bolt: tightening it allows more wheel movement; loosening it restricts the turning range.
  4. Set it so that at full turn the bolt contacts the wheel just before the handlebars would travel past the wheels. Set both sides for equal range.
  5. Retighten the locking nut securely. If a bolt keeps backing off, use Loctite on it.
  6. These stops keep the steering arm from rotating out of alignment with the steering rods, so adjust a side that turns too far sooner rather than later. The steps are also in the owner’s manual.

Still not working? If you can’t get even range on both sides, call or text us and we’ll get it resolved quickly. We can set up a video call to walk through it.
