Steering pulls or one side won’t turn far enough

Uneven tire pressure or steering limit bolts set out of balance cause this, and both are adjustments, not defects.

This is usually quick to sort out. If these steps don’t fix it, call or text us and we’ll get it resolved.

What to do

  1. Check tire pressure on all four tires and even them out.
  2. If one side won’t turn far enough and the other turns too far, the steering limit bolts are out of balance. Set them for equal range on both sides (see the steering limit bolt article). Adjust the side that turns too far soon.
  3. If the wheels sit off-center with the handlebars straight, check the limit bolts first. Use Loctite after setting if one keeps backing off.
  4. Next, check the handlebar is seated straight on the column teeth. Loosen the single bolt, reseat the bars straight, and retighten.
  5. If it’s still off, adjust the short steering rod underneath at the front axle. It has a nut at each end; lengthen or shorten it with an adjustable wrench.
  6. The steps are also in the owner’s manual, under Support on the site.

Still not working? If pressure and limit bolts are even and it still pulls, call or text us and we’ll get it resolved quickly. We can set up a video call to look at it with you.
